Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
This movie will be broken down into the three parts of the Narrative Structure, similar to the one done for Taare Zameen Par.
Set-up:
The movie introduces the audience to the problem at hand:Zeus' missing lightning bolt, which he acusses Poseidon of stealing, but he denies it and Zeus threatens war if the bolt is not found. It then moves on to showing Percy's daily life in school, where he struggels in class due to Dyslexia and is sometimes picked on by others.
Confrontation:
Percy is sent to Camp Half-Blood, a camp for demigods(children of Greek Gods) like him, where he discovers that he is the son of Poseidon, and receives a quest to find the missing bolt and clear his father's name. The movie then documents his journey through different challenges to find the lightning bolt.
Resolution:
The resolution comes when Percy discovers that one of his good friends Luke in the camp is actually a traitor who has joined the side of the Titans(seen as enemies of the Greek Gods), and Luke was the lightning thief. Eventually, the lightning bolt is returned to Zeus and he prevents a war from happening. However, the problem of Luke is left unresolved, perhaps for the next movie.
